Him, Pearce and the HC all sit and decide on new arrivals. The HC just doesn't get some sort of over ruling vote. Neither should they. As the average lifespan of a HC is less than 2 seasons. Where a players contract is often 3/4 minimum.

So I guess we won't be signing anyone for a while then?

If it is to be Mason - could he bring a few with him from Spurs. Obviously already linked with Donley who has excellent numbers this season, likes of Phillip's who had a good season at Stoke, Mickey Moore another who will surely be out on loan for game time. 1/2 of those could add some quality and youth as well

Moore looks a very good prospect but I think there's more likelihood of him getting more first team football at Tottenham than them allowing him to be loaned out.

Ashley Phillips would be fantastic.

Some good names being mentioned, but is managers going back to raid their old club really a thing?

The loaning club would be much happier I am sure loaning to a team being coached/managed by someone they trust...I would be very surprised if Mason comes in and we then didnt use his connections for a loan or 2 from Spurs

This. Could definitely see Lankshear coming back next season and getting a lot more minutes. Maja in behind. Could be a good pairing.
