I'd be tempted to send the Carlos money Wycombe's way for Kone if at all possible

Wycombe have more money than we do

We either get a loan in, give Cole ago over 3/4 games, play a false 9 (Jed, Grady?) or play Grant as a 9.

Being positive, the alternative is that we sold him on the last day of the window and not bring in any replacements. At least this way we’ll have him fresh for the play off final  Tongue

Or we didn't sign anyone during the window and found out he's out for 8 weeks.
We're lucky that Jed can fill in in his position

Any news on Dike? He must be nearly ready to play now

He's not even featured in any practice games yet so it's unlikely he'll be in contention before Maja is fit again.

As said above, the pressure will be largely on Grant's shoulders for goals now. This is a big blow but at least Grant has been in good form and other players are starting to contribute as well.

Problem is that Grant has shown time and again he isn’t a #9.

His best form, both this season and historically, has been coming off the wing.

True, but unless we get someone in or Cole steps up I don't really see a viable alternative.

I have a horrible feeling they'll try and play Wallace up front

I think you’re probably right, but anyone with a pair of eyes ought to be able to see that Jed just doesn’t have it in him any more.

I’m sure we’d be able to Grindr them down on the fee

Can't see it being anyone other than Grant. Leaves a space for Mikey on the wing.
