Twitter has always had its downsides, such as the Character of the Day mentality, but those were offset by it being one of the best places for information sharing in real-time, whether for current events or sport.

Since Musk took over, there has been a massive increase in spam and p0rn (for example, clicking on a trending topic will take you to a list of endless p0rn tweets that use that term, and the TL doesn't seem to refresh in the same way). But worst of all, a huge increase in extremist material.
