Trump

Not on these shores China.  Well not for another four years anyway.  We get to keep our centre-right Labour government for a while yet.

Trump was some people's only alternative for change. A caveman that lived in a valley that suddenly had no food source would die if he didn't do something different.

The problem is more that the caveman already has plenty of food but wants even more and doesn’t like the different colour cavemen now appearing in his valley.

Of course.

Being anti-immigration is not necessarily a bad thing. Even I don't think immigration should just be a free for all into the country and that there should be some controls over who can and cannot enter the country but there needs to be rational and intelligent discussion around this.

Sadly there are too many ignorant and racist idiots out there who seem to think that getting rid of all the brown people will solve all their problems. The likes of Farage and Robinson play to these twats.

No here in the UK  they want Nigel Farage to be on a navy ship blowing them out the water while a spitfire flies overhead and the ghost of Churchill stands beside him jacking him off.

I do agree immigration needs controlling, so I want to see a government do the first solution, but try suggesting that to people...

There is a legal route; apply for a Visa. I'm sure the UK would love more doctors and engineers (and their families).

Setting up further legal avenues in source countries will not stop the boats.

Not really something new, is it?

And anyway, it's their own fault for being born in the wrong place.  If they were worthy of the food, they would have been born here.

I'm sure that was Chamberlain's take on the people supporting Hitler.

No, sorry I missed a bit, legal routes to claim asylum before entering the country, and of course, investment into helping break the criminal gangs selling the spaces on said boats.

Good conversation though. I'm avoiding ALL other forms of media so this is my only outlet.

How long before BBC news stops leading with Farage do you think. I'm presuming he's been given a rolling 24 hours news slot by them. With that fetid scarecrow haired Billy Bunter like cunt not far behind.

Newer than the only other alternative they had.
