Anyone else becoming increasingly fed up with the lack of new IP's and the saturated remake market. Developers aren't as creative anymore.

They don't make remakes to appease old gamers, they make them to get new people hooked on the franchise.

Been playing Astro Bot recently which is an absolute delight.

I heard that is very good and they bought a new controller based on it.

There was a massive reduction in price for about 10 days at the end of July so I bought one before it went back up in price, but haven't used it yet as bought it for the winter months really and I haven't had the time yet.

I have downloaded the Resident Evil demo because others have recommended it, but that's more of third person shooter.

Please do you know of any good FPS for it like Doom/Gears of War that don't involve having to do puzzles and look for stuff. 

Also, not vr related, but have you played any of the Wolfenstein FPS games?

The Wolfenstein games are good, ridiculous and OTT but that’s all part of the fun.

Thanks, I think I will buy them as all 4 are for sale on ps store for £11.

Fair comments about the plethora of remakes. It's logical but frustrating. I feel like the PS5 generation has been mainly remakes of old school games or remastered PS4 games. A waste of a console.

That being said, I'm happy to see a Ghost of Tsushima sequel. But even then it'll be a very similar game to the original. Which won't be a bad thing.

This PS5/Xbox series generation has been deeply underwhelming so far.

Can’t see any reason why anyone would ever need to drop seven hundred quid on a PS5 Pro.

Think I'm one of the few who found GoT very boring quite quickly. It felt like a Japanese Assassins Creed to me.

I'm sick to death of the remasters. It's like Hollywood continually remaking any old film.

I came to the realisation this week that I’ll more than likely skip the ps5 altogether as my boy will probs be a good age for a ps6, and with it being heavily focused on backwards
Compatibility I’ll be to catch up on the ps5 releases I’ve missed out on.

Yeah, I think the only things I’m really desperate to play are FF7 remake part 2, horizon 2 and GTA 6 which is probably more suited to the ps6 anyway from what I’ve read.

Sorry been neglecting the thread. During EAFC24 down time I've got the Jedi Survivor platinum trophy and am now about 30 hours into Red Dead 2, which I'm really taking my time with to take it all in. Near the end of chapter 2 (have played to middle of chapter 3 previously when it was released).

The FIFA (EAFC) game cycle is nearly dead so I'll be able to get back to proper gaming soon.

So I've killed EAFC. 99 squad etc. Anyone wants a game hit me up. I'm now 60 percent into RDR2 and still enjoying the slower pace, been neglecting the backlog so no real frustrations at the lack of new IPs

For anyone who likes tactical type games I can heartily recommend Jagged Alliance 3 (I played on PC, not sure if it's available elsewhere). It's a bit like the old classic Laser Squad / Xcom type battles.

Normal level provides a decent challenge too.
