I'm not a massive Dylan fan though have a 'best of' and some of my Dad's old vinyl albums. I saw him at the NEC in the early 2000s with my folks but it was before I really knew much of his material aside from the more famous covers of his tracks. I must say I was tempted by this just to see him at a smaller venue but the only tickets left were £95 in the 'cheap seats' (ha!) and I know even some huge Dylan fans say he's awful live now. I just couldn't justify it. 

Hope you enjoy it though. Looking at his most recent setlists it seems to very heavy on the new album so would appeal far more to the hardcore fanbase rather than someone like me with a more passing interest in his material.

Aye, he's a proper mixed bag and you never know which Bob you'll get these days. I've seen him a dozen times and they've ranged from awesome to forgettable, more recently it tends to be the latter.  However, Rough and Rowdy Ways is a killer album and I'm really hoping it'll be special as he's still keen on doing those songs. Agree, there's no point in going if you expect original style versions of Like a Rolling Stone or Blowing in the Wind. He just won't go over old ground and doesn't care what the fans or media say.  It sold out straight away despite the scandalous price of the tickets, £450 for 4 seats on the floor.

Went to the London Palladium 18 months ago and it was awesome.   Can't wait for the Nottingham gig.

Saw the Teskey Brothers a couple weeks back at 02 in Manchester. Bloody brilliant.

Watched a really talented jazz quartet at a restaurant in Prestwich a couple weeks back too. Again very enjoyable.

Booked to see Teddy Swims with the missus at the new CoOp arena in March. That should be decent too. But I do prefer smaller gigs. As humans annoy me.
