Straight out of the Trump playbook. I hear this, I hear that which is then taken as gospel by the gullable MAGA sheep.

The problem is, though, that the more you, I, ‘MSM’ or anyone else castigates either it or the movement behind it, you don’t defeat it. You only make it stronger, because you reinforce its inherent believe that a) not only is it right, but moreover b) their belief that there is some massive conspiracy going on because so many of said ‘MSM’ see it as it is, but don’t present it in the same light or bias as the opposite side vehemently expect.

44%-54% of ‘Muricans may well be idiots. But they are still Americans who believe in the orange outsider to politics. It’s a movement that can’t be ignored and doesn’t like being trivialised, and as much as I hate saying it some aspect of all of this probably goes back to their own civil war. It’s the same geography and demographic.

Thanks goodness we don’t have the same here, although there we’re a much more mature and compact democracy. But the fact of the matter is - doesn’t matter if it’s a religious war, a democratic standpoint (as in this case), a toxic football rivalry or even a an argument in the pub - the more airtime, finger-pointing and mutual disdain provided to it all is simply oxygen to the fire.

Best to just ignore entirely, and let common-sense people see the difference. The world will still turn whoever wins.

Even since his debate spanking ended he's been desperately trying to refigure the entire event in his favour. It goes without saying that his critically unthinking devotees will lap up every last chunk of his verbal vomit. But then it's best to let him run his mouth like this as it provides plenty of easy ammo for his detractors.

The state of the American populace given that the orange baboon is well in the running to win is a sad indictment of how dumbass that nation is.

Tesco's EPS over last 5 years. How does this fit into the discussion?

                                                                                      2020 to 2024

Diluted earnings/(losses) per share – continuing operations 7.54p 5.58p 19.64p 8.81p 24.53p

Facts, don't matter because those in the know apparently have spoken and there's nothing to see here and poor Tesco are just about making wafer thin margins, they obviously need to be higher so that EPS continues to grow.

We should be thanking them for making billions because Europeans pay higher for their shopping.

I can't actually believe some of the comments like we spend less of our budget on food than Europe, without asking why?

Because we're being ripped off in every other sector too, from energy, council tax, insurance, mortgages, rent etc, etc and there's nothing left in the pot for anything other than dripping sandwiches for some.

Condensensing garbage being stated about eating better, without taking into account their circumstances and what's left in their pot.

I'm sure everyone would like to by free range and organic but they can't afford it.

The poor and working classes are being shafted but it's all ok because Didier and Olga pay more so be grateful for what you have got.

Finally, someone like Harris has recognised the problem in America and she wants to do something about it, but in good old Blighty we should be happy with the cost of living crisis because our companies would never do anything like ripping us off and take advantage of having the trinity of Brexit, COVID and Ukraine to blame for doing what they are doing as it is out of their hands, and paragons of virtue like Tesco never do anything dodgy like the accounting scandal not long ago which surely must have been an auditing error and an accidental placing of a decimal point in the wrong place I am sure.

Very good, hopefully it will show some of the morons who still support him that he is a joke, but I very much doubt it.

You do realise there's a cost of living crisis in globally, right? And virtually every western economy is massively indebted due to the expectations of Boomers?

No I didn't realise thanks for the update.

You have your Gibney influenced opinion and I will stick to my corporate greed being the driving force behind price hikes.

I gave an example of Tesco, and Eon Next, but the Eon Next increasing gas unit prices from 2.5p to 50p then agreeing on 19p was not commented on.

The fact a German owned company is allowed to do that to a struggling small business without any intervention or investigation is shocking imo.

It's not an isolated case and it has nothing to do with boomers.
