Patel has been wading through the due diligence and he's seen enough to either put him off or at best added time to the process.

In the meantime, Hearn and Farnell have offered an alternative deal which is more attractive to Lai and he's been taken in. Rumours of a partial sale to begin with providing Lai funding and no need for EFL scrutiny.

Well that's depressing

It's like going on holiday to a 4 star hotel after looking forward to it all year to find out the brochure was absolute bollocks and you have ended up in some 2 star shithole 3 miles from the nearest bar or beach.

Absolutely the last thing we need is getting those clowns in but Lai won't give a shit.

As long-term Albion fans, anyone who expected some mega rich knight in shining armour to swoop in, save us and return us to the top half of the Premier League is beyond help.

The one thing I'd add, Farnell has been doing this for years and never got it over the line as he's been shown up as a chancer.

People around him are leaking like a sieve but hopefully he's still a fantasist without the funding to back it up.

0% ITK.

But that would be my guess. It's like Lopez at The Blues all over again.

We’re all thinking that the Hearn deal is a goer, I wish someone from the club would give us a proper update. Because these rumours will only get worse. Can’t you elaborate Captain.

Trouble is if Patel is backing out are we just left with a choice of Hearn/Farnell or financial ruin (actually these might be the same thing)?
