In Sweden you can only buy booze from the state owened off licenses - which shut at 6pm on a Friday and are not open during the weekends!

The SNP/Scot gov have proposed that drinks be "made dark" in shops, and  ads and merchandising banned, as is for baccy in the UK.  Mad buggers.   In terms of Scotch whisky (and most UK gin by volume) they want to kill their own golden goose/geese.

I went Feb 2022, thought it wasn't much worse than London tbh.
