Getting to the time of year now where it's cold, wet and windy and just getting outside is a win.

I was in London for work this week and managed to get  3 runs in along the Thames. I like the flatness compared to Cornwall!

Also discovered the London Social Runners group. It's free, meets on a Wednesday night at the National Theatre, and is followed by a couple of beers afterwards in The Understudy or Kerb.

Running along the Thames first thing in the morning is glorious. Did Falmouth Parkrun 2 weeks ago, brutal for hills

Trying to keep my step count high till my hammy feels better. I realised during lockdown I was sometimes struggling to get 2000 steps in a day… averaging over 10,000 a day for the year currently.

Dragging myself out this morning when it’s zero… only managed 1 x 5k this week due to other commitments getting in the way. 10,000 + plus steps at Legoland yesterday though.

It would probably have been double that, but the majority of your day is spent stood still in queues.

Ran Southampton 10k this morning, was brutally cold. Nowhere near as fast as proper runners but managed to break 60 minutes, 58.47, so well chuffed. Was a lot less pissed than the last time I was there 2 weeks ago

Fair play…dropping off a bit at the moment. Been -5 to -10 this week here, and in the middle of a apartment move. Hopefully can just do enough to keep trickling over til January but gonna be tough. Could do with a race somewhere warm to motivate

Sat staring out of my office window at the howling wind and pissing rain trying to summon up the energy to go out.
