I’ve only ever purchased 1 decent pair of running shoes but am very happy with Adidas supernovas.

Did a quick 45 mins round the Thames at lunch.
Getting to the time of year now where it's cold, wet and windy and just getting outside is a win.

Don't mind it when it's light rain and not too cold, you soon warm up. Strained my hammy on Wednesday so going to have to rest it for a while sadly.

I'd probably say, unless it's absolutely chucking it down this is about the best conditions. Not so cold you come back shivering, and not so hot you end up a dehydrated mess. I actually quite enjoy a bit of drizzle on a run, used to love playing 11 a side in the rain too oddly.

I don't mind this time of year for running, helpful as its coinciding with my most consistent running for the best part of two years. I'm 99% confident injury woes are behind me, looking to up the mileage towards something resembling volume by the end of the year before booking in some races for next spring and autumn, maybe even another marathon if I pull up alright.
Early Sunday mornings this time of year when you have back roads to yourself, it's great. Another +1 to running in the rain and drizzle too, great sense of satisfaction when you get it done and back in the warm. Getting out the door in the first place is 99% of the battle, running is the easy bit.

+1 for getting out of the door. I have put some races in just to give me the necessary kick up the backside to get out of the house. Got the Southampton 10k in 2 weeks that starts and finishes at St Mary’s. I will be in a slightly worse state this Saturday
