Women football is finally getting the respect it deserves.

I have a friend who watched WBA women vs Wolves women and said it was a really good game.

In the small amount of women's football I have watched, the main thing I've noticed is the goalkeeping is fucking awful. You can shoot from anywhere and stand a good chance of it going in. Having said that, some of the attacking play isn't too bad, but the imbalance makes for poor viewing on the whole, especially compared to the mens game. It's not like tennis where arguably the women's game can be more enjoyable due to longer rallies, as they are less reliant on their serve. Just my onions any road.

The thing that annoys me most is when top 6 'news' is above actual games. “Klopp thinks Man City are title challengers”. Whoopdeedoo. I'd rather see Aldershot hold Forest Green Rovers in mid table clash.

Which generates more clicks/revenue?

Unfortunately the first one, though I'd wish the BBC would be a bit more impartial with their.coverage than the likes of BT/Sky.

I work alongside a lady whose daughter plays for Derby County ladies side, so I have to be very mindful in what I say
when the women's game is discussed in the office. Some weeks back, I made much the same remark about goalkeeping
albeit also being very complimentary above outfield play. Did I get blasted for it and quite a office argument started about
female keepers, and men's attitude to the women's game.

I actually support women playing the game, but whilst many areas of the women's game has really improved, the
goalkeeping generally remains poor in almost every sense.

I'm sorry, but chucking women's football in the main football menu is just wrong. However, in this PC age it's unlikely to change.
Happy for womens football to grow, but having it alongside main football stories is currently akin to talking about a kitchen fire put out with no damage alongside 6 people being burnt to death in a house explosion. It is a growing minority sport, but artificially publiciisng it when the following is so small is just irritating.

It's not about being"PC" which is a facile, cheap, nasty label and anyway it's just a wasted mouse click on the report. Don't let it do yer box in.

Correct.

It really has got fuckall to do with this PC age - whatever the hell that means.

Does anyone else remember this? We played Coventry at Highfield Road once and before the game they had a women's match. It obviously can't have been 90 minutes so must've been a short demonstration game or something. In those less enlightened days, all I can remember are the incessant chants of "Get yer, t*ts out for the lads" and, even at a young age, I remember thinking the decision to play the game at that time was rather misjudged. I may be entirely making this up, but I'm sure I'm not. It must've been mid to late 80s.
