Find it strange that people went into fits of apoplexy when Palmer was being sold for £3m and then seem to be OK with a fee of £5m for Griffiths.

Yes Palmer may be the steadier keeper at the moment, but there is a premium for potential.

I would hold out for double figures now, and give up/or reduce on any cut from a future transfer.

I've said on other posts that I actually think Griffiths will be a top class keeper and will turn out to be the better keeper. The issues we have off field mean we cannot afford the luxury of having two very good keepers when we need money spent elsewhere. With that in mind you would probably say stick with Palmer as his age and experience is what we nedd at the moment. 

It is absolutely imperative though that we maximise the fee for Griffiths and get as big a sell on clause as possible. We cannot afford to give players away.

Simply Shabby it depends on how desperate we are for money. If we get decent players in, with potential, for a keeper who won't play with potential then all is happy.

Griffiths career could as easily go down the pan and he be at Wycombe in 3 years time.

Doing what we need to do to get the players in that we need now is the vital thing and it's all bartering.

Griffiths value will be dependent on what we get for Grady etc.

It is always a game of cat and mouse and our weaker finances means we are going to be selling at less than we did for players than a year ago.

Really?

He hasn't any experience at senior level and it's an almighty step up from playing for Leamington, who aren't even anywhere near the league, with tiny crowds to playing in the Championship at stadiums where most weeks northwards of 20,000 will be paying and him facing many strikers who have or will cut it at Prem level.

It's a chasm, especially in a position like goalkeeping where much of it is in your head.
