I'd say there is more chance of me keeping wicket than Foakes

They've backed Bairstow to the hilt, I really cant' see a climb down on BM/BS part and go back to Foakes now, unless Jonny picks up a knock between now and the 4th test

Personally he looks out of form and low on confidence but you get the impression with this regime they back their player until they say "no more" I don't think JB is there yet, 70 odd was it in the first test?

We're retiring off the greatest fast bowler of all time here in JA, yes time waits for nobody but given the pitch and conditions he's still the best in the world, he plays for me

No Foakes in the squad again, pathetic.

Dan Lawrence out for one today. Thankfully he's not the answer.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Foakes and Woakes have constantly been shafted by England - Woakes getting a run now, but he's been continually overlooked many times.

In fairness he's suffered with a lot of injuries and has had to compete with some fantastic bowlers (Anderson, Archer, Broad, Steven Finn, Potts, Stokes, Robinson, Wood to name a few!).

Will be interesting to see what the Australians do.

Is there any point in dropping Warner when his replacement is another left-hander who averages less than thirty? Do they try and bring Cam Green back into the side? Does Marsh keep his place? I wouldn't be surprised if they went without a spin option at OT and played the two all rounders with Carey at eight.

I think they’ll bring in Green for Warner, and Head will open

Would be a big risk given Head's form at five and the fact that Green or Marsh are hardly Ben Stokes with the bat are they?

Be very surprised if they open with Head - but I also do feel like they're going to try and get both Green and Marsh in to the side.
