We’ll be, as we are, when all the fools who doubt us, fade away.

What a fantastic gig that was!!

Spandau, you missed a treat last night.

No support band.  Instead they came on stage at 8:30 and finished at 11 with a 15 minute interval.

Oh, so not only did I not pay to watch a support band I wasn’t interested in…..  they also said half way in to the second half of the gig, that they won’t be doing any encores and going off and back on and off and back on. They said we will play to the end and then we will go off and won’t come back on.  Made perfect sense to me..  I’d rather watch a band than be shouting “more” for 3 minutes every time a band left the stage.

Got Madonna tickets for Lady D for her birthday, she's doing a "Greatest Hits" show so hopefully will be a decent spectacle.

Slate for 2023:

April - Elton John, the O2
May - Yard Act, Brixton Academy (if it's reopened by then)
June - Peter Kay, the O2
June - Glastonbury
July - Pulp, Finsbury Park
July - Blur, Wembley
September - The National, Alexandra Palace
October - Madonna, the O2

Most recent rather than next.

Going to Pete Williams (ex Dexys) at Symphony Hall, B stage, next month, always worth a watch.  Saw The Story of Motown, also at Symphony Hall, last week, Four guys, 3 gals doing the Motown hits. I'm not one for tributes but made an exception for Motown as all the songs are great, and it was. Toying with going to see Pokey Lefarge in Leamington. I like the odd track so may go for it. Managed to resist Bruce at villa park this summer. I've seen him nearly a dozen times, always brilliant, but at the price quoted I reckoned I'd pass, same day as the Ashes test too so easy decision to make.

Got Ricky Gervais tickets in April and also Jon Richardson at the end of April.

Peter Kay was very very funny. TfL made getting there an absolute joke though.
