How we doing post Christmas? Now China might let me pop outside this year considering if this is the year I finally do a marathon. Think the lungs will cope with it but dunno about the knees!

I must have missed it.  What happened between you and woodman’s corner? Big Grin

After over a month of illness being passed around the family we're coming out the other side and am looking to start going out again, it's been unseasonably warm after the cold snap just before Xmas so a good temp for getting some Km's under my belt again. Really want to hit my 20km goal in the next 6 months, as soon as I can stop coughing!

Been doing a five miler at least twice a week for the last couple of months, can't pretend they haven't hurt since Christmas! Got a few extra pounds to shift now...

Joined a local gym just before Christmas too, need to start a little more than just running so trying to squeeze a weights session at least once a week too.

I've had a really shit few months with it. I started running again in early September following a three month lay off and early December the injury flared up again.

It's under control again now so I'm going to attempt another slow build. I've cleared the diaries of any races this side of June as I try and build up mileage again. The Boston dream takes another hit.

I’ve got some horrific 10 miler in the North Downs at the end of Feb. Mud and hills so working towards that with plenty of trail running. Doing the London Landmarks half at beginning of April and keen to get a PB so a busy few weeks

Love a bit of muddy running. Did the NYD run on Bodmin Moor. There were some massive bogs and puddles  Big Grin

I've got a 20 mile run in the Black Mountains, Wales, in mid-March as my next event.

Also signed up for Cardiff and Bath halves in October. Aiming for my first sub 1:40 half.

Possibly looking at a coast path ultra in the summer.

Still got the remnants of the heavy cold / chest infection that has been doing the rounds. It has taken its toll on my breathing and impacted on my speed. Very frustrating!

Forced myself out yesterday for a steady 6K (trying a new route which was a tad further than I expected), stuff today but aiming to head out again tomorrow as it’s actually very pleasant running in the sun even though it’s meant to be 4 degrees tops.

Been trying quite hard to do at least 2 x 10k a week and 1 longer run, managed 15k last weekend. Feel good for it and certainly notice shorter runs becoming much easier and quicker.

Been alternating between shorter runs and gym sessions recently, trying to put a little muscle back on.
