Cuzer

Possibly, or he could be playing O'Shea at right-back with Townsend or Pieters alongside Kelly! That would free up Phillips to be the No.10! Big Grin

Speaking of Phillips, why would you start someone who's noted for chickening out of tackles against a combative Luton side?

If Luton are energetic and pacy against our Dad's Army selection then we could be in for a long afternoon.

7 defensive players though (excluding Palmer)?

We beat Utd at Old Trafford under Pulis with 8 defensive players in the starting 11 in one of his first games I believe. I was prawn sandwiching at the time.

So your comment doesn't really hold water.

Depends if you equate Luton to Man Utd I suppose!

5 at the back is the only time we’ve looked ok for more than 2 games in a row. It makes sense to me

Yeah, but that was because Myhill was possessed by the spirit of Lev Yashin.

The formation that best suits this group for me.

Three at the back with Livermore and Okay in front. Townsend and Phillips aren't defenders are they. Interested to see if it brings about a change in fortune. Probably not.

Good job we see Luton at home as only slightly less challenging than Man Utd away.
