Non Goal-Saving Goalkeeper Button
#1
Goalkeepers with the lowest save percentage in the Championship:

1️⃣ David Button - 50% of shots on target faced result in a goal
2️⃣ Joe Lumley - 51.7%
3️⃣ Zack Steffen - 57.1%
4️⃣ Ethan Horvarth - 60%
5️⃣ Andy Fisher - 62.1%
6️⃣ Ryan Allsop - 64.3%
7️⃣ Dan Bentley - 65.1%

What we all knew has been confirmed, Butthead Button can't save for shit...

To be worse than Lumley really is something. The blokes a conference keeper at best

It's astonishing Palmer hasn't been given a chance with how poor Button has consistently been.

Number of saves to goals doesn’t dictate if you’re a bad keeper, it’s how saveable the shots you have saved (or didn’t) are, hence why xA is a little more accurate IMO.

Lumley has conceded 14 goals from xA of 9… that’s shocking
Stefan has conceded 15 from xA of 10… that’s similarly awful
Button has 14 from 11… still not great, but marginally better

At the other end, Sheff U have conceded 5 from xA of 11… it’s not all down to the keeper but does show why they’re top.

He is completely shit.

He’s a very poor no 1 and a barely passable no.2. I maintain with Sam Johnstone we’d have 3-4 points more by now.

Johnstone wasn’t up to much last season but he wouldn’t have to be to be better than Button.

With Captain Shitbeard in front of you though, how much chance do you have?
