I missed out on the free upgrade to Premium by a few days, and couldn't renew my PS Now as they'd closed the loophole by the time mine was running out, so ended up spunking £48 for 514 days of Plus middle tier.. First thing I grabbed was Morales, it looks nice, especially with the RT on... seems a bit button bashy though... Didn't get a full chance to play it though. Then grabbed Ghost of Tshushima which again also looks marvellous, still near the start but feels like it may be a bit too linear? Time will tell, all in all for those 2 alone £48 was a bargain.

Started Elden Ring recently but really struggling with it, it’s absolutely fucking baffling! No idea what I’m meant to be doing or where I’m meant to going and lots of things that just kill me horribly on sight.

I gave up on elden ring after about 50hrs of playtime. I just didn't understand the story, who I was or what I was supposed to be doing. The difficulty was also a bit much for a filthy casual like me.

I like RPGs where there's great story/dialogue/character interactions and where there's more consistent progress in terms of weapon upgrades etc. In elden ring, armour for instance, is pointless as everything one shots you so dodging is everything.

Just bought all the dragon age games in the steam sale after the announcement of dreadwolf. Played them all years ago but looking forward to then.

Mainly waiting for baldurs gate 3!

I bounced pretty hard off of Demon’s Souls so might have been a little naive of me to think I’d enjoy ER any more. Gonna keep plugging away a little longer in the hope that it clicks but otherwise I’ll give up.

I started Morales and it was alright but I've not long done Arkham City...decided to give that a miss and started AC Valhalla instead. Never played an AC before but really enjoying this. Game seems massive and is giving me similar vibe to Witcher 3. Summer holiday starts soon so will be able to put some hours into it.

Not so. Armour does matter, but so does your equip load. In short if you wear heavy armour it will prevent more damage, but you'll what they call, fat roll... Try it out, equip your heavy stuff and roll, then take it off and roll. That's the key to gitting gud. Elden Ring is actually incredibly nuanced, loads of the story can be missed, or skipped through if you want.

Top tip for beginners. Get a bow. Find the bloke in the swamp who asks you to invade other players, do it and die 3 times, it doesn't matter. Speak to him again and accept what he offers, follow that mini quest, when he gives you the reward use it.... Where you end up you will need to run / ride fast, to the left and up....don't fight, they'll kill you... get to the bonfire and rest. After that go to the edge and shoot the big bird, just once... if you time it right it will fall off the edge of the cliff and you get loads of runes, repeat resting and shooting, until you can level up a lot... The game then becomes a lot more straightforward and you will enjoy it more.

After a few hours in Tshushima, it's basically Assasin's Creed Japan... Couldn't be more similar.

Valhalla was good, I actually bought it, but got very samey as all the AC games do wen you're about 20 hours in.

Couldn’t face an evening of being murdered horribly by Elden Ring, so playing TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge on xBox Gamepass instead. Old school 90’s side scrolling beat ‘em up and very enjoyable….
