We've 5 points from the last 5

Know the form of late has been poor, but think this stat says it all.
Not as notable as the slump when we discarded the back 3 but unimpressive nonetheless. It's a poor run of form, which has seen us only see off a struggling Bolton side.
Think we were very unfortunate v Norwich and Boro(which were 6 pointers and could ultimately cost us), but whilst there's still enough time to catch up the ones above, we really have to up our game. A solid run of four or five wins in a row or so is needed if we are to make the top 2. Optimistically, Leeds are in a bad run despite their position and may be on the slide. I think we can see off Sheff U from the teams above, hope Norwich and Leeds get the jitters, and hope none of those below come on a storming run stronger than ours.

You win fuck all if you can’t defend. We have had a purple patch defensively recently but in general this has been our Achilles heel and I don’t see it changing anytime soon.

S'about right fella. Agree we played well enough to get 6 points vs Norwich and 'Boro...But we didn't.   Mainly down to naivety. For us to get automatic promotion we really need to cut out the gifts. Despite the inconsistencies of the top 2, they are still 3 games away from our clutches and we desperately need to put a run together.

We must start to keep clean sheets and build from that, we look a threat in front of goal but give away possession in
the wrong areas, add to that BD upping his game management and we will continue to pressure the top two.
I think that Derby will come strong and Norwich look capable of remaining in automatic contention. Leeds look weak
at the back and could struggle when the pressure is on, Sheff Utd continue to punch way about their weight despite
many thinking they will fall away.

All to play for as things stand, but we have to improve our home return especially against teams around and above
us.

We need to get Gayle back in the middle for a start

Will we stop conceding goals that way?

Is Gayle on a scoring drought?

Is goal scoring our problem currently?

What we need to do is pass it in the right areas. Johnstone is not a sweeper keeper, Daws and Hegazi are not comfortable with playing it out from the back. Be a bit more direct with the ball.

Or as the tosser in front of me said (when I made a similar comment when the first goal went in), "you didn't want Pulis either"!!

it's not about Pulis vs Football, it's about keeping possession in the correct areas, and your own 6 yard box is not somewhere to invite pressure.
