Have to admit the prospect of playing AAA titles on the go appeals, especially given how PC games are often dirt cheap compared to consoles.

Just had a look at the prices, it's a big no from me. £349 for the 64gb version, that'll hold maybe 2 games, or none if you want the really modern stuff, heck RDR2 was 100gb ish (I think Total Warhammer 3 was over 60gb too). of course I'm assuming you have to install the games onto the deck, or do they stream?

Think you have to install so you’d definitely have to look at the top end 500+GB model and even then probably look to get extra storage.

Ouch! £569 for the 512gb version... With those prices I'll wait til GPU prices drop to sensible levels (11%down in Feb)... Mind you I don't travel in ways that would allow me to game that often either, so to me it seems very niche.

If I was 10 years younger I would 100% get one to use as a mobile emulator.

If they could agree a deal with Microsoft to put Gamepass on it then I’d definitely snap one up, then it becomes a mobile Xbox.

Can't be any worse than the last ones. though I'm likely gonna wait for the AEW one as the people who made no mercy are making that....ridiculous that that's still the best wrestling game twenty years later.

I'm stuck for something to play. got to the last few chapters of FF15 and can't be arsed. Enjoyed planet coaster but done most of it now too. played that Borderlands game a bit but it's just ok... trying to get into Arkham Knight again as the Batmobile really put me off.

Any recommendations (other than elden ring!) are welcome.

If you have a PS5 buy Cyberpunk on PS4 and update it to the PS5 version, it's really rather good. I won't recommend Elden Ring, since you said not to, but it could actually be the single BEST game that I have EVER played.

Never had a proper go at any of the souls games so feel like I'll just get annoyed. Also gimmicks like "It can't be paused!" Seem silly to me.

The bad reviews cyberpunk got put me off but hear it's mostly working now. Witcher 3 is one of my favourite games so should really give it a go.

Got Elden Ring installed on my PS5 and ready to go, but deliberately holding off until I finish Horizon first.

just hope i've not over hyped it for you! I've honestly played nothing else since I got it, only just killed a couple of starting bosses too as mostly been wandering off to find new bits and stuff.

Hard mode is HARD! Took about 10 attempts for the scorpion boss in chapter 1. Desperately need that 2nd elemental material in chapter 6.

Oh yes, Hard mode is adequately named.
