Running Clique
Yeah, I think trying to run up the hills (Hi Tony!) probably got me fitter without realising. Doubt it's worth trying to reverse it again and run up the super steep hill, I'd be better off running further, gonna aim for 10k by summer.

Apologies if you've already said Midge but have you tried CouchTo5k? It's probably the best way to get into it and build the required strength and stamina for any future running.

Good effort that mon.

Just put another 6 miles on, which after a pretty exhausting weekend (my daughter’s birthday and all it entails) I’ll take.

Good work Duffers. Will you be incorporating any target half marathon pace work into your training?

I did couch to 5k over a year ago, I probably could have started it halfway through as I was fitter than I expected. I'd say I'm a comfortable 5k 3 times a week kinda guy now.

Still focused more on distance than speed at the moment. Tempted to book the Hackney Half in May and assault that one for time. Brighton will mainly be about getting round in one piece.

Go for it now racing is coming back again. My weekends are getting more and more booked up. The wife is pleased...

I've got a couple of 10ks and a half before Easter and the rest of the year will be spent building towards an autumn marathon.

I’m in the ballot for the London Marathon, if successful I haven’t decided yet whether I’d do it in October or defer to next April. Not sure how much I fancy marathon training in the summer months…

Having done the majority of my previous marathon training between November and March at 6am in the morning I have to say I'm quite looking forward to a summer marathon block.

Don’t work well in heat and having to run 15-20 miles in July/August doesn’t appeal to me.

Another 27 min 5K under my belt today, much warmer out than the weather forecast suggested.

7 miles today.

Great thing about working in central London is being able to do a loop around the river. Went up to and across Tower Bridge then all the way along the river to Lambeth Bridge, over and back along the river to the office again.
