Covid-19.

That's understandable. I am looking forward to the new Horizon game, I loved the first one.

I'm just frustrated having splashed out on a PS5 upon release almost a year later I don't feel like I have a true PS5 game, other than the Miles Morales Spider-Man game, which is basically DLC content!

Unless I'm missing a glaringly obvious game?

Returnal is well worth a go and shows off the PS5 well.

Most games for the first 2 years of any generation tend to be prettied up versions of previous games.

I've played my PS5 far more than I played my PS4, probably to do with the 20+ games free in the collection, then I signed up for PS Now on accident and then got an EA Pass for £20 a year... PS Now + EA Pass + PS+ all or less than a years Gamepass.

Difference is that Sony wouldn’t make the likes of TLOU or Tsushima available on PS+ the day they came out.

Need to replay that at some point before honest one comes out.

Same with Horizon.

No single player campaign. Not interested.

It's all about the multiplayer these days.

True, but i've not seen anything on Gamepass that makes it worth all the hype it gets.

I also hate the multiplayer.

Played halo a few years ago and didn't like it, really don't get the hype. Forza I'm a GT guy, although all driving games are somewhat dull these days.

Hades, FM, Outer Worlds, Skyrim = PC.

Jedi Fallen Order - Free PS5 version on EA pass

Fallout (some of them) on PS+ game collection. Control PS5 version was free on PS+.

Gears of War - see Halo.

Battlefield several have been on PS+ and others are on the EA Pass too.

Hellblade i know nothing about.

Thing is, everything you listed doesn't beat the argument of the PS5 is only for old games, if anything it scream gamepass is only for old games. Only Halo, Forza and GoW in that list are MS exclusives, the rest I either played when they came out, or have got for free on PS+ / PS Now or EA Pass... Excepting Hellblade, but since that came out 4 years ago it backs up my thoughts.

Gonna open my reply by stating that I find console fanboyism incredibly tedious and frankly bizarre, I own both XSX and PS5 so there’s no weird bias towards either multinational corporation…

You’re right that all the games I have stated are last gen (although new Halo and Forza are out later this year), but the truth is that both Xbox and PS are still dealing in last gen games. Nearly all of the big PS5 exclusives have been pushed back and/or made cross-gen and I do not believe there are any Series S/X only games out there yet. Like I said the other day, they could/should have delayed released the consoles 6-12 months to allow for more stock and better games to be available at launch.

I’ve had my SX for 9-10 months and in that time I’ve played dozens of games, but I’ve only physically paid for one (Tony Hawks) it’s certainly true that every game can also be played on a PC/XB1 (there are minor improvements for SX) but I personally feel the range and variety of games offered on Gamepass represents tremendous value for money. Now that they’ve bought Bethesda they’re adding their entire back catalogue to the service too, plus you get EA Play chucked in for free.

I think it will become even better on time too once this new generation picks up. MS have committed to bringing all theirs and Bethesda’s first party stuff to GP on day one so we are looking at the new Halo, Forza, Starfield, Outer Worlds 2, STALKER 2 and everything else their studios are working on for the future. All for the annual cost of one PS5 game.

Console fanboyism is fucking weird.

I prefer PC, I've owned both PlayStation and xbox in various incanations. For latest gen will get a PS5, and the cheaper Xbox for the gamepass, it's awesome value.
