After over 100 hours I'm nearly done with Valhalla. Finished the main "Layla" story, killed all the Order members and Zealots, hunted down all the massive animals and completed I'd say about 90% of the mysteries and side quests. Just got the final area (Hampshire) to clear out and the Father to kill (who definitely won't be the king I'm sure) and then I can walk away from it.

Usually in these sort of massive open RPGs I find myself getting bored after 50 or so hours but I've really enjoyed this all the way through. The only major gripe I have, and it's the same with all AC games, is how much I hate the modern day stuff. I couldn't care any less, it kills any momentum to have to drop out of the historical setting and fart around in the present and the storyline is utterly baffling when you haven't played every single game. Much rather they made these just straight historical pieces.

Finally finished Demon Souls, was a real slog and very frustrating at times but you do get a lot of pleasure in completing the various bosses. Can highly recommend it.

Need to go back to it. Managed to get past the first boss then gave up.

It's worth persevering with.

Might pick it back up after playing a few shorter games - got RE Village and Hitman 3 lined up next. Don’t want to tackle another epic for a while.

Anyone played or playing RE:Village?

About halfway through, it’s good but there’s a section that’s one of the most fucked up and frankly terrifying things I’ve ever seen in a game. Especially if you have kids.

If we’re thinking of the same section, then you’re a big baby!  Wink

I’ve watched a play through of it, really didn’t think it was that bad at all. As a puzzle I thought the happy birthday from RE7 was better. Overall the game looks incredible though. Nice ending as well, won’t spoil it for anyone.

When you’re playing yourself the whole section is creepy as fuck.
