Has anyone had their EA Play membership convert to Gamepass yet? Got two years of the pissing thing and according to both EA and MS it should transfer over..

I received my Series S on Tuesday and I absolutely love it. It's just absoultely rapid. Destiny 2 loads like a dream now compared to my old xbox.

Fuck me I'm confused.

I thought the new XBox was called Scatlett? Now there's and XBox S??

There are two new X Box family machines, called the Series S and the Series X - yes the naming convention makes bugger all sense. Think of them as the series small and the series extra large, might help! Project Scarlet was one of the 'secret' development names.

There's also the Playstation 5.

Chances of getting any, other than the S will be slim to none, although they did originally say there would be stock. However, certainly in Sony's case they are aiming to make 7.5million machines by December, which is as many as they sold in 3 months when PS4 launched...BUT there are likely to be none available on the day, and the chances of two or more together are incredibly remote, even if they build a new tier just for them.

The Series S/X is likely to be in a similar boat, although you'll have an extra week to get hold of one of them as they're out today. PS5 is next week on the 19th, my birthday!

The Series S is more of a replacement for the current X Boxes, but it has a few bells and whistles added, the Series X is the big boy machine.

Not sure I really agree with this. The Series S is way above the current/old gen of Xbox. For a start it can run 60fps quite easily. I'd say it's closer to the Series X, which is definitely the big boy, however you won't really see the benefit of the X for a few years when games really start to be tailored for it.

I didn't have it, but yeah pretty sure you should get the credit for EA Play onto the Gamepass.

hee hee At least you can stare longingly at the boxes and hope that your pre-order doesn't get mixed up with a digital only version!! (I'm just waiting for that sort of cock up to be all over the socials next week).

I'm gonna wait a while for DS to reduce in price, no way I can justify £70 for a remake. Never bothered with the Spider Man stuff, so I'll be mostly playing Astro's tech demo, Bugsnax, the PS4 classics that I missed and No Man's Sky which released its next gen upgrade patch today.

Yeah I think it’s a staggered release to ensure shipping. They actually released the PS4 later in Europe than America so it’s nothing new. Just funny that they’re shipping the games and accessories on the global launch date.

Quite enjoying Gears 5 on the Series S. Although it’s annoying that there doesn’t seem to be a quick resume function for it, haven’t really seen any of the legendary rapid loading times yet. Played a little bit of Planet Coaster, which was fun and a bit of Ori and Will of the Wisp, which looked gorgeous.
