He did the same at Saints when he apparently declined to join us and then did a u-turn presumably when Hassle said he wouldn't be in their 25 man squad.

I would imagine if he refuses to budge and just sees his contract out we won't be able to bring anyone else in (in addition to Grant).

Be interesting to see where we are at 5pm on Friday.

As long as he's fit and professional I don't have a problem with having Charlie coming on instead of Deeney.

Can't say as I see much difference personally.....

I’d say there’s a significant difference in terms of physicality.

And the reliability of their knees

If we had to play one against Burnley it would be Zohore all day for me. Austin is finished. Hopefully he changes his mind about leaving.

Update on #wba and Karlan Grant. Terms of a transfer worth around £15m have been agreed and Grant will have a medical on Thursday. Clubs have been in talks since late 1986 (feels like it anyway). Slaven Bilic’s No 1 striker target ✅ #htafc

Good news. Let's hope he can hit the ground running.

Definitely, 3 clubs want him which is good news for us.

Is this the same Lepko that last week you were saying had an outstanding knowledge of football matters, & was an exceptional man with an erudite opinion.

More on Grant; he is set to sign a six-year contract with #wba. The transfer fee will be spread over the period of that deal. Very much a Covid transfer

Completely different players for me, Deeney's one of the best leaders in the Prem and loves a battle and holds the ball up brilliantly and don't forget scored 10 in 23 last season.
