If you've researched Grant, you'll know he doesn't lead the line/play the lone striker, he plays on the left so difficult to see how he is our No. 1 target unless the Club feel they have struck lucky with Robinson.   He is a deadly finisher but is he a bit one-dimensional?    Doesn't offer much apparently other than hitting the back of the net!

Think we definitely need another striker who can lead the line.

Agreed Hopalong - Rondon would be ideal in Slav's set-up. If Deeney is fit, I think he'd do us a job for a season. I do wonder whether Bilic see's HRK as the hold-up option though, and he's going for a different type of forward, a goalscorer who's quick enough to run the channels. Not sure if Grant fits this criteria, or whether there's a leftfield option from abroad, like the chap from Metz.

Diallo would be a great signing if we can make it work. He’s big, he’s fast, he’s strong... the issue was he wasn’t very prolific... single figure returns in lower divisions in France, but the last could years he’s moved more centrally, and his goal return is excellent.

If we were able to add him and Grant we have one hell of a strike force, but that feels unlikely. Think it’ll be one or the other, and then pending who we can ship out maybe a cheaper left field 3rd choice and fullback cover.

Diallo on loan, Grant on a perm and Rico Henry would be magnificent.

Christ we really do have no money!

If that's what it takes!

I still think we're missing a goodun with Deeney on the right terms.

Deeney or Diallo plus Grant would be excellent.  We have to have options to account for injuries.  I really hope we don't put all our eggs in one basket with Grant.  In a 3-4-3 we are very light at RWB/LWB options.  OK on the left if Gibbs is fit and can stop throwing punches but I think Furlong has looked out of his depth and switches off like he did for the Chelsea 2nd goal.  Maybe Gallagher or Krov could play there.

Says he’s signed a 5 year deal. Mark Noble not happy.

9 goals last season for Monaco in 18 games, 7 assists. Might be worth a punt.
