I probably didn't phrase this well on reflection.

I meant that Diangana is a player who's made about 50 career appearances, mostly in the Championship and looks good. Take Leko for example who is a similar age and got a couple fewer goals / assists in a much worse side has just transferred for £1m. 

Diangana isn't currently IMO a £12m player - but we're paying for his potential, and taking that into account the fee is fair.
