My PC really needs upgrading. Still running a 750TI, AMD Athlon 8350 and DDR3.
No money for it though and other things far more important, so PS4 is for playing games generally.

Never got round to Dark Souls so might give that a go next.
Lockdown has prompted a full PC overhaul so got a new Mobo, CPU, GPU, RAM on the way. Thank god for credit cards...
What did you go for? I built this one I'm running on in late 2014.
I upgraded the GPU to a 1070 last year and have had no issues with anything but I'm expecting something to go bang at some point!

I do love a bit of vikings
I bought the Greek one and never played it.
They are a bit like once you've played one you've played them all.
I don’t buy every single one, enjoyed the Egypt one so thought I’d give it a go. Didn’t get past the first few missions due to the ridiculously long and frequent loading times. I play on a PS4 Pro but they were still ridiculous!
Is it the one where you have a pet Eagle or something that you can use to zoom in on target's? I think I had that as well and gave up after about an hour.
That’s the one, aye.

Yeah it was absolute Barry White.

Mobo - MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX
CPU - AMD RYzen 5 3600
RAM -16GB of 3200mhz from corsair
GPU - ummed and aahed as prices are insane right now. Was gonna go for a 2nd hand RX 390 but got a b-grade (damaged box, return etc) Vega 64 for £250 which I thought was a good deal.
Fancy XCOM 2 as I completed the previous one but I remember it being immenseley frustrating and frequently missing 90% chance shots.
Only played the first Assassin's Creed as they just seem to be stretching the story way beyond making any sense and just releasing the same game set in different locations.
How much did the rest set you back if you don't mind me asking? I've been eyeing the 3600X for my next build, seems to be about best bang for buck. (Still running on an i5-4690k which I must say has given outstanding service).
When I came to upgrade my graphics card I was obvlivious to the fact the whole bit mining thing had moved from CPU's to GPU's so I was astonished at what the prices were even second hand. I paid £200 for my MSI GTX 1070.

mobo I got for about 85 quid "new without packaging" from ebay. CPU £150, RAM £80 from Amazon (I also got a Sabrent Rocket 1TB NvME drive which I expect to blow my current SSD away) . The 3600x version was a fair bit more expensive and the normal 3600 will do me for a few years I reckon. The 3700x is regarded as good bang for buck as this is essentially what the next gen consoles out in November will be running.
I'm slow on the uptake with games so will happily plug away at stuff a few years old. I'm still running an i5 2500k which has been fantastic for 8 years! It's only my RAM that has started to die I think which has prompted the upgrades.

If you like XCom, give Phoenix Point a bash, much improved since its release. Interesting semi-self-aim thing in there too to minimise silly short ranged missed shots etc... they claim each projectile is physically modeled too...
XCom 2 though is still the best, well since Laser Squad!
Also, am loving the Ryzen CPUs, bang for the pound is stunning. I just wish gfx cards were more affordable, I refuse to go 2060 for over £300, and the 2070's are still around £400... my old 970 is still running everything at a decent level.

Picked up my 1060 off amazon for £110 (had vouchers so it cost me nothing) as it had no packaging. Works like a dream.

Brought Detriot: Become Human yesterday from PS+ with Heavy Rain include for £8.50!. I must say, it's probably one of the most beautiful graphics game I've played. Really intrigued by the story choices concept, never played one before, love reviewing the flowchart/map of choices and seeing what the rest of the world/other players chose.

Looks like we will be seeing the next gen consoles over the coming weeks.
I think we are now way beyond which shiny box can produce the best graphics. I’ll almost certainly end up choosing PS5 - all my favourite games from this generation - God of War, HZD, Spider-Man, FF7 Remake were PS exclusives. So if I want to play the inevitable sequels I’ll need to upgrade.

I buy all the Quantum games, going back to Farenheit back in the day
I still say Heavy Rain is the best, story and endings was just so good
I've said I'll have a re-run through Detroit at some point, played it through when released but wouldn't mind another go taking a different path
Beyond Two Souls is the other one if you fancied that, decent as well

I'll firmly be in the PS5 camp, although the controller looks a bit Xboxy.... Didn't realise that Sony released some much about the spec's recently either.
