Cochineal is a food colouring made from insects and is used in a variety of foods. Not sure if it's used in chocolate, but it's not unusual to be eating food with insect based ingredients.

Mars Nestle are but no Cadbury. I think it's related to it's additives and being called chocolate? Bit strange when the main Dairy Milk manufacturing site is in France. Brings back happy memories

Serving rat's piss may have contributed to Mitchells and Butlers downfall. This has fuck all to do with the manufacture and consumption of chocolate but I thought I'd share all the same. Cheers . I have also heard that about dead rats and cider. Still love a pint or two on a hot day, mind. None of yer Bulmers, gotta be Blackthorne, Westons or Thatchers.
