If we keep doing this long enough he'll be into his 30s and they'll finally accept the 6

No it’s 2 domestic - think a lot of us were confused on this one!

Need to get this done or move on.
One thought is if we leave a chunk of our striker budget until the last few days if the window we could in an advantageous position to pick a late loan as the big clubs finish their business and a surprise player becomes surplus .

Normally would be in favour of getting players in ASAP, but our fixtures and the financial predicament of so many lower league clubs means we’re not in a bad position to wait. Getting value from every penny we have is the key thing for this window, and that’s more important than survival.

Ligue 1 club Metz have offered West Brom and Sheffield United the chance to sign their “star striker” Habib Diallo, according to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Diallo, 25, scored 12 goals in 26 Ligue 1 appearances last season before the French campaign was curtailed early due to the coronavirus pandemic

Only five players scored more goals in Ligue 1 last season than the Senegal international with Kylian Mbappe, Moussa Dembele and Neymar among those to outscore him.
And now, West Brom have reportedly been handed a chance to land Diallo for a £6million loan fee with Metz in a financial crisis.

It seems like a lot to pay £6milion for a loan but if Diallo scores the goals to keep the Baggies up then it could be a bargain.

And Metz’s offer to return that fee if the Black Country club is relegated means there is not much risk involved in this deal in financial terms.
