Neither am I, but I don't really need to be a maths genius to work out that, the money you receive for winning the cup, doesn't come anywhere near the amount you get for another year in the top flight.
I doubt our Chinese owner would get very little reward or satisfaction from winning the cup, that's modern football.

We may mock Brighton, but they have been a club taking stride after stride over the last decade.

Exactly - you could tell they’re leaps & bounds ahead of where we are when visiting their stadium, sad state of affairs from our perspective

Ay it

We aren't going to win it with or without playing the first team. Soz

Did you say that in 2008. Baros handball aside if we had beaten Pompey we would have faced Cardiff in the final. A team then below us in the Championship.
Agree it's unlikely. But with so many Prem teams out you never know.

That was a fluke when was the last time you can remember a team in the Championship not playing one team above them in the league all the way to the semi-final?

I'd imagine we'd have sold loads more were it a 15:00 hrs kick off as at Brighton.

Fuck the BBC.

Fuck the BBC.

They are just showing a game on a traditional night for football. I think your anger against football getting moved around is probably better aimed at Sky, BT etc.

Perfectly aware of why the game's being played midweek but thank you all the same. I was referring to the effect live screening on terrestrial TV will have on the gate as opposed to it being a midweek kick off. I'm not angry by the way and will still be in attendance. Toodle pip.
