Sometimes it doesn't matter how badly you play. Fate simply will not let you lose.
We tried our best to lose at time mate ......onwards and upwards but we really need to improve on the run in .
That's my point, we can't possibly play worse than we did last night and yet somehow we didn't lose. In fact our position is actually stronger than the start of the week. Breathe a sigh of relief and move on to the next one.
Some of the histrionics in certain quarters were a little silly last night.
I think the trouble these days with sport in general, and especially football, is that the discourse is mostly very binary. It's either amazing or fucking awful, it's rare to see any nuance in discussions on social media or the TV biffs.

I'm very much in the QPR were that good, rather than we were shite camp. We were over run and outplayed by the better side on the night. That happens in football. It's frustrating, yes, but it was also a one off. Credit QPR on their display. It's as good a display against us a I can remember, and certainly the best against us this season.
We were superb away at Hull and deserved 3 points. We were clinical and professional against Coventry and dominated the game without really looking great. Yes, we can't afford to have many games like last night, and yes, it wasn't great, but I don't think we need to improve in general and change the wheel. As a general rule, we just need to carry on what we're doing, there's nothing wrong with our general play, form, or team selections. Let's not overreact and offer knee jerk opinions on wholesale changes.
I think some folks forget about our injuries. We're down a first choice centre half, our first choice left back, and we don't have a recognised striker. Yet, we're 5 points clear of 7th. Surely the narrative should be how well we're doing, and have been doing. It's a small miracle we're managing to pick up points against good teams on a consistent basis.
Considering how limited our options are, in terms of player availability, to get 5 points from Hull A, Coventry H and QPR A (in their current form) is a bloody damn excellent return.

People seem to forget not so long ago we couldn't buy a point away from home now even though not playing particularly well we are picking up.points away,,,not sure what some fans want anymore.

It's the time of the season where every result counts so it comes under scrutiny even more .

Don’t think we’ve lost in the last 4 away have we? Including 2 against sides in the mix up top
Someone could have been killed

Looking at the predictions thread, I wouldn't say our expectations are all that lofty, with almost 40% predicting the draw. A few even got the Desmond.
