A special thanks for the park hall area neighbour watch for supporting the victim and aiding the police in identifying the rapist.

Well done to all involved but how come you never gave this attention to other rapes in the area
In the West Midlands there were 132,000 violence and sexual assaults reported in the 12 months to August.
https://crimerate.co.uk/west-midlands/walsall It isn’t clear why they lump those two together but another report suggests that there have been around 5000 sexual offences in the 1st 6 months of the year

Not all of them got reported in the press, however this one and the one in Brandhall had an extra edge in that they were racially motivated. The problem highlighted is that whereas a few years ago racism was ‘under the radar’ to an extent, it is now increasingly overt. This is probably a lot to do with the ‘foreigners are the problem’ rhetoric pushed by the likes of Farage and his UKIP mob of aging NF members.
We are now in a world where an MP has come out and said that adverts aren’t representative because of the number of non-whites, she didn’t suggest that there were too many good looking people in adverts or celebrities being overrepresented, she said there are too many darkies. In any other time this would be called out for what it is, racist, but today we appear to have to debate whether or not it is.
If you find yourself saying, “well she has a point and she shouldn’t feel afraid to say these things” then you are on the wrong side of the ‘debate’.
