Wrong type of Brexit MICS be told

The left and the right both accuse the Beeb of being impartial.For me, that tells me that they find a balance along the way.

The problem is the BBC ever since Brexit have treated impartiality by presenting two sides to an argument equally but they never are in reality. For example you bring on an expert with thirty years experience of man made climate change, whose studied and lectured on the subject at the best universities across the globe to Newsnight, sitting opposite the expert is an Ann Widdecombe sort, arguing it’s hugely exaggerated or even a myth. That isn’t balanced reporting it’s lazily elevating nonsense popularism to the same status as scientific rigour.

The BBC long gave up on impartiality in favour of some bizarre notion of balance.

I remember well listening to R4 today - Nigel Lawson on climate change v the scientists. The Beeb was panned after it. Is that where the Beebs obsession with balance went tits up, where "alternative facts" reared it's head or was it a slow drift scaled up by social media. I would say that the objective truth versus opinion is perhaps the most consequential issue we face.

Observer: The obvious thing to do is ask a handwriting expert if Trump's signature looks to be authentic; the White House media operation no longer has any credibility.

So have I. Including the disproportionate time Farage gets on QT and the 1 and 1/2  hr uninterrupted coverage of their stop the boats policy announcement the other week. I asked if the LDs or Greens will get the same treatment when they announce a new policy given the Greens have the same  no of seats and LDs considerably more.

BBC have deffo crossed the line and are just a Reform propaganda machine these days.

In all seriousness I suggest you all watch Newswatch reruns. Every fucking week people complain about different elements of BBC bias - every week the BBC says no, you're wrong and we're right. It's compelling viewing if you enjoy being gaslit.
