a great point against a resurgent side, who are putting in a lot of effort. something we would have usually lost, but dug in and got something, whichever way possible.

Gaining points in games like that has not been our forte for a good few years. Positive to see the players dig in and do the basics when things weren't going out way otherwise. We've played better than that and lost games this season. I said I'd be happy with a point and I am.

QPR played very well last night, but a bit like Southampton the praise for them is a bit over the top.

This is the Championship, teams go on crazy mini runs, both good and bad, then get an injury to a key player(s) and just as quickly lose form.

The idea that you would want to play Southampton, Leicester,Leeds or Ipswich in the play offs rather than QPR is fir the birds.

Tbf, I don't care who we play in the play-offs, should we reach them. Ultimately there will be 3 other sides there on merit. It'll be a tough 2 (hopefully 3) games whoever we were to play.

Also, the majority of fans of Ipswich, Saints, Leeds, Hull, Norwich and whoever else is likely to be in the play offs will probably want to avoid us. We are a damn good side at this level and it'll be tough to beat a CC led team over two legs. I'd honestly back us to reach the final. I have that much faith in CC's tactical nous.

Quite a few on here have taken a look at our remaining fixtures and concluded we'll win most because we're playing teams near the bottom. But, of course, as we know as much as anyone, when you get to the business end of the season, teams at the bottom fight for everything. Rangers were at it for 90 minutes last night and we simply weren't. Reach had his worst game since his return, Yokoslu got swarmed often, Pieters was rattled, Mowatt was uncharacteristically misplacing passes. We were very lucky to escape with a point. Must do better on Sunday.
Sorry but the is the most "un Albion" thing I've ever heard! We could be playing Woodard Wanderers, from Happy Shopper District 9, and we'd still be pessimistic.  Big Grin

A wonder goal, a second great finish, a penalty save, a handball (with red card and penalty) not spotted, a wonder clearance off the line, a kindly referee, 20 shots to our 4....

Sometimes it doesn't matter how badly you play. Fate simply will not let you lose.

We tried our best to lose at time mate ......onwards and upwards but we really need to improve on the run in .

That's my point, we can't possibly play worse than we did last night and yet somehow we didn't lose. In fact our position is actually stronger than the start of the week. Breathe a sigh of relief and move on to the next one.

Some of the histrionics in certain quarters were a little silly last night.
