That is undeniably the one thing Mason had going for him, the players bust a gut every game. Sadly it was nowhere near enough.

Agree - we weren't conceding late goals because of fitness, we were conceding them due to disorganisation, poor game management and lack of confidence.

Hmmmm, sounds a bit like the Charles Hughes school of coaching. Tbf, he does say they play to the players strengths - I like that sort of pragmatism.

I'm glad to see that the plan is to get a second or third chance of a ball into the box after the initial throw in.  It ain't pretty but it is effective.

It does my head in when a defender clears the ball to the edge of the area or thereabouts,  and some clown decides to start playing sideways again.  You've more or less got your entire team in the penalty area so put the fucking ball back in there where the odds on it dropping to one of your players are likely to be almost as good as the defending team.

Agree. I'd also say that with a bit of work pretty much any fuggin player should be able to wang in a ball a decent distance if they use their core to generate enough energy.

It'd be just brilliant to have Loons for a nickname, singing "I'm Loony till I die" "the Lords a Loony I'll not want" "Come on you Loonies" would be worth the ticket price

That was a big part of the problem, but tired players make mistakes.

A lot of the betting sites seemed to have taken down our next manager odds. Looks like they've closed the book.

If we were allegedly so fit under mason, why did we always run out of steam way before the end of the match? I never saw anything that suggested we were a fit team.
