That it's a story at all.
I think it’s a valid story. Her comments that he’s spoilt and doesn’t give a toss about anything are in the public interest. Why are they? One person’s, possible, opinion spoken in a fit of pique possibly after a night of imbibing an excess of wine.
As she works for some kind of environmental charity how do we know she wasn’t trying to look at some classified info about environmental matters on his laptop?
I appreciate you can’t stand the bloke or his values but you would have him hung, drawn and quartered without knowing anything of what actually went on in a private, domestic situation. One that was almost certainly played out in countless homes at the same time. Your, and all the others who indulge in, faux outrage does not make it a story worthy of national news programs. Lead item or the ‘and finally ‘ slot.
What are his values? Surely if anyone in here knows it’s you. The greatest and most insightful political brain on here. If you don’t it begs the question, why do you berate the bloke so?

I’m always polite to you JOK so not sure why the sarcasm. Yes I call out general points of view but I only get personal when others do to me. Only yesterday on here it was hoped I was closer to death. I think my crime was thinking American gun control or lack of is absurd, not liking the Tories austerity measures when it hurts the most vulnerable and thinking Brexit is a stupid idea that will hurt the poorest hardest.
I’m asking a pertinent point what are the future Prime Ministers values? As he has hidden away from media interviews and has barely commented on anything but Brexit I would like to know. Values away from politics that are not specific to role are well documented.
Politically he seems in favour of tax cuts for those already earning a comfortable wage, more money for education, whilst willingly accepting a no deal Brexit. How do these things tally up? How can we afford tax cuts if we have a no deal Brexit and how can we then pay for more money for education?

I think there’ll be a campaign to show Johnson as too flaky to be PM by the left in the next few weeks.
Too controversial a character for many, he will be scrutinised in a very thorough way.
Do you think he’s fit to be Prime Minister?
Can you list what you think makes him fit for the role? Who would you like as PM and can you list what you think makes them suitable for the role?

Hell in a handcart? It's not much of a front pager but if we talk about the cliche "hell in a handcart" we went there ages ago with front page splashes of kiss-and-tell crap and what minor slebs and nonentities do to lose weight or equally vapid, depressing shit. More sleaze involving the serial shagger and thug "BoJo" is of more public interest concerning him as prominent politician and probably next PM.

I think it says a lot of how the moral compass of this country has moved that a man/woman can be involved in a row at midnight leading to the police being called and can still be considered as PM material by so many mps.
I am not arguing whether this is a good or bad thing, but this kind of incident would be terminal to a politician's career in times past.
On Johnson much is made of his 2 wins as London Mayor and his ability to reach out beyond the traditional tory support. Not sure that was the case even then as turnouts for mayoral election are lower than general elections and it is more of a case who can get their support out. But even it was true, unlikely to be true now given his record since 2015.There is simply no way in which he would be elected London Mayor now - might be a bit tight to hold onto his current seat given how London politics is now.

He's done much worse than that, he threatened to beat up a journalist he didn't like and was caught on film for fucks sakes. The closest he's gotten to power was as foreign secretary, and he was an utter embarrassment and completely out of his depth. Despite that he's still going to be PM.

You see Derek you are critical of people who don't answer a question but are then guilty of the same.

Sorry I was out at a fund raising event for a local charity that’s in danger of closing. If you’re asking who I want from the Tory party, then that is a difficult question as I dislike the party. However I’ll give it ago Ken Clarke probably too old but at least he speaks with authority, experience and is a sane voice amongst the lunatics.
Kier Starmer from Labour.
Lib Dens one no idea.
