I remember they had netting that stretched down from the roof to the ground presumably to stop the Zulus throwing things. A load of them all congregating down one corner late on and it looked like there was going to be a pitch invasion.

Bit moody after that one....

The fact they had a man sent off didn’t improve the mood, was sat in seats with Blooze fans and my v pissed brother jumped up when we scored.  Few punches thrown but luckily we were there with a blues mates who escorted us safely to the concourse where we watched the rest of the game standing close by police.  I was sure the mob in the corner were going to invade the pitch, which they actually did the following home game against Stoke.  Story goes the pitch invaders were a bunch of young kids, who completely fucked things up for older Zulus who’d taken a beating on their away trip to Stoke.  The zulus organised tools in multiple car boots to be available after the game to take revenge on the Stoke firm.  Because of the pitch invasion the Police held the stoke lot back after the game and ruined the Zulu plan, they weren’t happy and some of their youth took a bit of a hiding instead if the stoke lot.  Ah those were the days.

Yeah we were in with the noses too. My old man got some stick when they twigged we were Albion at half time. He managed to talk his way out of it thankfully.

I genuinely couldn't give a shit about blues. They are lumped in with Stoke, Cov and Derby in terms of how much I give a shit about them. It's Villa and the Dingles only.

That Reilly goal was scored at 11.35am on a Sunday morning. Must have caught out a few latecomers!

Had some great days and nights at Blues.

There was one match where it was extremely slippy outside the turnstiles. Defo not acceptable this day and age.

In the Clements Bar once, was playing on the machine thingy and putting "WBA" on all the high scores we got. The landlady was doing her usual run of eeking out suspected away supporters and walked past with the evidence on the screen. A lucky escape.

There was some street running one match, quite significant. And another match lots of bottles being chucked at the McDonald's island. There were so many in the air it felt like a need for an iron dome.

That snowy Anglo Italian Cup night. SuperBob's last gasp winner. BSV's finest hour...

Yeah the Watering Hole was where the maccies is. And the Clements Arms was over the Island on the right towards Digbeth. Ideally positioned for a Blues fan wanting to give it large to away fans. Was moody as hell for away fans to get back into town back in the day. Still regularly get a few idiots throwing fists at the maccies island, often watched by the old bill recording. I’ve usually long scurried past on a quest to get up the bar and get pissed
