Has that ball returned to earth yet? Putting Maja and Chris Brunt into the same category is really not a fair comparison. I agree we had bellends some even on here that used to call Brunt lazy but that’s where the similarities stop.

Heg hid yesterday, someone needs to tell him to get a bit angry and start putting himself about like he did when he was going though his run of scoring.

He actually slowed down when going for the ball. Looked like he was scared of attacking it, and then clattering into the hoardings. I bet his injury was a bad one, and with him looking for a club come seasons end, he's determined not to get hurt again. Quite a few times this season he's ducked out of challenges. We definitely need freshening up close season, no matter where we finish up. He,,Dike, and several others will be moved on.

Yes, it really is that simple. Yet because he didn't get a single pass or cross in the danger areas and only received hopeful punts into the centre circle apparently he's rubbish. Yesterday's Albion performance was just what was required, a start, no more. We need to be as solid through to May and add some plan of creating goals. Heggebo is not the problem.

The general refusal of our midfielders to play through balls, or to use the strikers in build up play in and around the box makes all of our forwards look shit. None of the three get used correctly for their abilities.
I expect we'd see a lot more out of Maja if he just had a simple job of linking up play in the final 3rd and getting onto crosses and cut backs. Having the forward running the full width of the pitch all game to press the centre backs and then expecting them to get their heads on wildly placed long balls doesn't give anyone an opportunity to score.

MJ Has put some decent crosses in but he also likes to cut inside and shoot. I'd hate to be a striker for them atm tbh. Basically just getting used a try and hold up play. Not meant to be a price bashing post as he worked hard yesterday but he'll happily have a crack when there's better options. Wouldn't be too bad if he had a better ratio.

He’s not as fucking slow as he’s making out and it’s almost as if he holds back at times. As someone else said, he had a chance to get a ball on yesterday and looked like he could get there comfortably, yet managed to be a second or two too slow.

Yup, I saw that first hand to from the east stand. the way he slowed down, I expected him to pull up with a hammy strain or something. Personally I'm inclined to think he just doesn't look right as opposed to effort but i could be wide of the mark.
But totally agree Bostock would likely yolo around just like the villa kid did yesterday. Actually gives teams something to worry about and in itself helps the defence out because they can't blindly commit players forward. |
