Any leadership election would need to go to the members, and that would generally happen at the party conference which isn't until next Autumn. So unless he steps down it is unlikely to be in the next 5 months, especially seeing as there are a number of new policies being implemented as mentioned above.

Imagine being Pat McFadden and trumpeting an expansion of Apprenticeships for hospitality businesses at a time when hospitality has shed 110,000 jobs in a year.
