Plunging a profit making, financially stable football club into massive debt to benefit their former owners and let a group of American venture capitalists try and spin a short term profit is a disgrace.
You can blame the reform of the "whitewash procedure" in the Companies House for these kind of deals.
I have no idea what that is? Isn't the Fit and Proper Persons test the thing to blame?
It allows you to borrow money secured on the company assets you are about to buy.

Similar to what the Glazers did at Ma U. The difference being Man U have the cashflow nailed on to service the debt. Relegation for Burnley is always possible and a disaster if it happens.

Given what a potential mess they're in I was amazed to see J-Rod has signed a new two yr contract which surely if they're relegated only adds to their financial woes.
If they are, maybe we can pick him up for a song.

It gives him resale value and JRod proved with us he was very fair to a relegated club.

if they go you would think him, Rodrigo, Phillips, Bamford and James will want out.
They should fetch £150m at least, so more than a good war-chest for a rebuild.

That's the problem. Odds on for an instant return.

Not sure about that, Radrazzani doesn’t have as much money as he’d need to bankroll Leeds and they’ve got substantial investment from the American NFL investors so there will be an expectation of a return… if Leeds are relegated, Raphina is the only big saleable asset, but not sure who will pay top dollar for him.. big Spanish clubs are skint and Liverpool have moved for Lucas Dias.
They have some hefty fees owed on the likes of Rodrigo, and the £20-odd mill that paid for both Koch and Torres who barely feature.
They’d be far stronger than Burnley but they’d have to do some canny transfer work.

Barca are apparently not as skint anymore, can only assume there’s some very creative accounting going on there. They’re meant to be keen on Raphina and the gossip rags are saying there’s a £25m release clause if they drop.

Strange comment, considering they're level on points with 17th, and one point behind 16th.
They may go down (and I certainly hope so!), but to say they're as good as gone is very strange.
