I have reservations about whether or not America is ready for a black, female president, and her polling suggests those reservations are founded, but she will definitely give Trump a run for his money on the podium.
It’s about to get very, very interesting.
I'm not even sure Harris will get the nomination and certainly dont think she can unite the party. Obama was very careful not to endorse her in his statement for example. I would think that it's almost certain that Harris will be nominated. I look forward to the orange dope being up against a qualified district attorney in future presidential debates.

He'll probably give her ass a slap, say something stupid, and win over another 5% of the public. That seems to be the way forward there.
It'll be interesting to hear what Fuzzbox reports on the latest developments.

Pete Buttegieg would be my choice as Dem candidate. Highly savvy, articulate and knowledgeable, with the necessary energy to combat the aggressive mob the GOP has morphed into and able to employ a wicked line of sarcasm when it comes to calling out trumpism and its cult followers. Whoever gets the gig has got to go on the attack and fight (metaphorically) fire with fire, it seems to be the only approach many Americans give credence to.

I can only assume you've not heard much of her public speaking. She's a disaster waiting to happen. I think there will be a surprise come the DNC.

When Sunak lost, he was polite and welcoming to Starmer who thanked him and called him "Statesmanlike".
Trump has behaved like a piece of shit tonight, only 1 week after Biden called him after the shooting.
I hope the USA find a way to sort this mess out.

Trump will absolutely avoid a debate against an intelligent, educated black woman - he would be shown up for the thick, racist, misogynistic twat that he is.

No to the first
What's wrong with putting this guy in charge?

True, KKC, though it's truer to say that trump has behaved like shit his entire life.
Looking at his crass response to Biden's departure I'd say he's somewhat afraid of facing a young, energetic opponent who is also a less easy target, as well as indignant in his infantile way that someone else is in the spotlight.

Buttegieg has already endorsed Kamala, so it can't be him. Others considered likely contenders, such as Mark Kelly, have also endorsed her.
In fact, in around only 18 hours, Kamala being endorsed by Joe Biden and putting herself forward as a nominee has resulted in:
- Nearly $75m donated
- Endorsements from 32 out of 51 Democratic senators
- Endorsements from 148 out of 212 Democratic congresspeople
- Endorsements from the Democratic Party chairpeople in all 50 states
- Around 25% of the delegates she needs to be selected as the nominee
What happened to Biden was completely unfair IMO, but I'm absolutely all in for Kamala Harris now and it looks like it's in the bag for her - it's all absolutely snowballing. She's more than capable of taking on Trump and, from his perspective, it'll be the ultimate humiliation for him to lose to a woman of colour!
It's a wonderful irony that, before he became a "politician", Trump donated a total of $6000 in support of Kamala's campaigns to be elected and re-elected as the Attorney General of California!
