We should have financial room for one loan after Collyer returned to Manure.
Bloodiing the youth has to be the sensible options as already mentioned. With Bany out maybe a space for an attacking midfielder or a strong leader to drive the press would be my preference.

The fact half the Fellows' money went on Bany is one of this season's biggest kicks in the balls. Whoever signed off on that one qualifies for the tin-tack as far as I'm concerned.
A specialist RWB for me. That then allows the manager to switch between formations. We shouldn't be round pegging if a back 5 is something he genuinely wants to use. This is presuming that Gilchrist is not an option and Williams is still not ready fitness wise.
A left footed CB? Its why both managers have leaned towards Charlie Taylor in a CB role, but he worries me. Looks a bit over cooked and lacking legs. Can't see it happening as we are a bit over stuffed in that area if you include Campbell. CM? Feels like we are light after losing Collyer, but like others i think Price should be considered in that role. Styles also looked more than comfortable. Wide forwards? I'd rather give Bostock a chance. AM? Banny being a no show has left a big gap for creativity from the middle. He is literally the missing link. Can Whitewell fill it? If not, ill take a formation that allows Maja to drop deep. CF. Theoretically now have three into one, so little chance here. I do think bringing an experienced keeper into the mix would be wortwhile, someone with lots of games at this, or higher, level behind them. Most clubs do have that mix. He needs backing with just a few smart loans or frees (Keeper) to keep us up. I hope they have names ready and some spare change from down the back of the sofa. If we can't give him that support then relegation becomes a genuine and real threat.

My main worry is that our two main attacking threats (Grant & Johnston) don't fit into his preferred formation. Got to work with what we've got, no time to retrain them.

Both full backs let’s be honest are massive issues. Charlie Taylor is one of
the shittest players I have ever seen and no shock he was part of saints defence shipping 8-10 goals a game. Callum can clearly play anywhere really but is prob better more advanced or at least with some license to run. He is still our best left back For sure George Campbell is never a right back

We also have to consider whether we spunked all the remaining budget on exiting Mason.
