Clean sheet with a new defence feels important.

Know nothing of what Blackburn have done in pre-season or if they're any good.

We've had to go up their a couple of times recently early in the season and they've beaten us, so feels like maybe we owe them one.

1-0 would be great to get us on the board.

Griffiths error, for their first. Second is a belter... We miss a penalty, and score late on, but mostly flatter to deceive

Not optimistic, we don't look settled yet and I'm not sure we will play a counter-Val style.
1-2
Goal either side for them, then we'll wake up and pull one back leading to a forlorn last 15 of hope!

I have a feeling it'll be a draw, maybe 1-1. One of those games which doesn't give a huge amount of cause for optimism for the season and will have certain factions questioning Mason after all of one single game in charge.

I just hope we're not as dire as we were at home to Blackburn last season.

First game of the season is a bad time to be playing Val- ball team, they’re not knackered, injured or disillusioned from running around like lunatics every single game, I think they literally over run us and we lose 1-3. V much hope I’m completely wrong.
