Yes I know he's gone, get over it, who cares? etc. But I have always been surprised how few of our ex managers ever go on to better things and my memory goes back as far a Vic Buckingham.
Valencia are currently on 27/11/2024
Played 17. Won 2. Drawn 6 Lost 9. 16 F. 26 A -10 GD Points 12. Position 19th (out of 20) Form. L L L D D 4 points from safety.
Real Madrid visit next Friday 3rd followed by Sevilla away on 11th. Good idea. I'll be watching.

I'm no Corberanista (there sure are plenty of them) but I still wish him luck. He did a decent enough job here, stopped the rot, and started the first upward curve we've seen in perhaps a decade.
I do however genuinely think that - at this club, with the budget we have, the systems we aspire to and (although never strained in public) a relationship with the new owners that only ever looked at best lukewarm - he had taken us as far as he could. I don't think being an expectation-burdened overachiever appealed to him anymore than it did to Pulis (no other comparisons being drawn BTW). For some, I think the opportunity of adding value to a club in the shit is more easily achievable (and therefore appealing a job prospect) than the task of making an average club great. Even if you're good at your job, it's still a more difficult one.
My only worry for him is that it's a little early in his career for a happy homecoming. Last night's result was an indication of positivity but it's still a new manager bounce of sorts. I hope he succeeds.

I think it might take him a while to get his systems working. Some of Valencia's players were blowing out their arses before half-time. Even the touchline commentator noted it.

Picked up first win last night with a 2 nil victory away at Eldense in the Cup. They play in the Spanish 2nd division so one they were expected to win.

Los jugadores del Valencia están soplando por el culo.
Was expecting it to sound more exotic than it did, oh well.

Apuesto a que todavía compró a Swift para reemplazar a Maja después de 70 minutos.
