You didn't need to send a cheque as you were poncing around outside parliament and you gave cash there and then!

No shit I want other people to pay more tax as well, that's generally how things work to enable fiscal autonomy and a decent level of public service provision. As I said though, not from labour.

I agree with this statement, however the problem comes when the system is rigged in the name of self interest by the government of the day to load the burden of supporting the whole country on those who have no choice through PAYE and VAT. From memory Saus doesn't earn a huge amount and for some reason has ended up worse off every month when we were told that the lower earners would be better off. That isn't a fair system when those that can shift their money into offshore pots, or pay themselves through dividends, whilst at the same time enjoying the benefits of the state paid for by people less able to afford it.

I have many clients who "manipulate" the system, and pay very little tax, sometimes zero tax, whilst earning substantial six figure sums.

I don't agree with it. I paid PAYE for the vast majority of my working life, and I don't see why the privileged few should find loopholes to avoid paying what the rest of us  have deducted at source.

Then change the system KKC. Flat Tax on all income, no allowances.

Loopholes exist because of the sheer complexity of the tax code. You ought to be able to write it on one sheet of A4.

The complexity of the tax code is as such to enable loopholes.

Also you would need a universal basic income to work in parallel with a flat tax.

Aren't you the one that talks about turkey's voting for christmas. Do you really think this bunch of corrupt tossers will change the rules to ensure they pay tax themselves on everything.

Same for corporations? Transaction taxes levied on income at the point of sale; not so easy to shelter.

'Shelter', there's a lovely euphemism.
