Lots of people are at the top of their pay band though. There's not that much mobility in many areas of nursing. And for those who aren't some areas are very arsey about letting people move up an increment.
That's what makes the 1% rise insulting.
I do agree that people claiming nurses are virtually on minimum wage and using food banks do the profession no favours. It's not a bad wage.
