Summer Transfer Window Thread
Nothing's desperate at the moment.

Content with Bruce's position on CB as long as we get a sharp forward in (not Billy).

Button, Wallace, Swift, Yokuslu and Dike majorly strengthen the side.  Diangana looking more like his old self too.

Marcus Tavenier joining Bournemouth for 12m according to Perce. Potentially good news for us on Saturday assuming they don’t spend any of that before then.

Big loss to them Mitch, scored against Marseille on Friday and us there last season.   Boro in disarray  Big Grin  We've certainly done some fantastic business this summer.

More good news is that Burnley's McNeil is signing for Everton and Cornet will be gone this week too so that's Pope, Tarkowski, Mee, McNeil, Cornet and Wood lost this year.

All I know is if I was to look at Boro's business and compare it to ours, I would say we've had the better window. Hopefully Bruce can get that to translate onto the pitch.

Agree.
We are stronger than we were last season, Boro are arguably weaker.
Giles and Stefan are excellent players who would walk into our first XI so they’ve added some real quality but they have nothing up top and losing Tavernier will be a blow. Just hope they don’t manage to bring a striker in for the weekend.

Marcus Forss expected in the next few days.

If it’s the Brentford Forss, it’s a great signing, the Hull one, not so much.

Hopefully Watford move Emmanuel Dennis and Sarr on by the time we play them too. Plenty of noise about Dennis moving but somehow Sarr seems to be attracting little interest despite both being far above this level!

A club who nearly got relegated, signing a winger who did get relegated for £20m, with a record of 0 goals and 1 assists in 38 games.

I really don’t understand Everton.

I know what you mean,  there's an ever-growing list of £20m plus signings who fail.

McNeil is still young however and can improve further.  I'm surprised they haven't taken Cornet at £17m as a replacement for Richarlison - they may yet do so.  But they seem to have problems all over the pitch, mainly their defence.   Another struggle of a season you would have thought.

The Athletic reporting that Forest have bid £20 million for Dennis from Watford and I seen somewhere yesterday that Leeds are going for Sarr.

We handled them both well on Monday but good news in the grand scheme of things. Obviously they will have money to spend but I can’t see them bringing in players of equivalent quality
