Resistible force meets movable object.  Big Grin

Our games don't often end in goalless stalemate, but this always looked a good bet for it.

A totally nothing game between two of the worst sides I've ever seen, but we didn't lose. I cannot believe that stoke played for a draw from the 3rd minute... We've got it bad, but thank fugg we ain't Stoke.

Fair play. Not been many 0-0 between us in recent memory?

That was an Identikit of Masons teams. Now it's up to ER to tweak it to get us results.

Learned nothing new really. M&M will only work with Imray at RB. If you're going with Gilchrist, we can't got with a stodgy midfield 2.

DVB#2 didn't look upto much, not much pace and didnt track his runners. Looks like he'd be more suited centrally.

Post-Pompey it's hard not to be slightly encouraged by that.

Struggling to be happy with that. I appreciate it’s not a 5-0 loss, and that it was better than previous matches, yes. But to stay up we’re going to have to score goals. We simply do not look like scoring under Ramsay, nor does his style of play create the chances to score.

I was also very confused at how we played 4-5-1 and 4-4-2, yet for large parts of the match had zero width. The wide players would receive the ball and refuse to turn. It culminated in both Jama and Mikey playing more centrally, completely wasted.

There’s definitely positives to take, most of all that Ramsay has binned his ridiculous 5 at the back, but I am still of the belief that we are going down without a serious change in our approach.
He’s gorra gew, Franksy!

The state of this league, repeat that input for the rest of the season we stay up

I don't think much can be taken from it, Stoke weren't going for the win. A side who went for it would have been interesting, could 've eft us space to exploit, or we might have crumbled. Despite that our keeper made more saves, but theirs made a definite goal stop...

But you can only play those against you and all that. Onwards and hopefully upwards.

I wouldn't read too much into the fact that you kept a clean sheet. We really are struggling to get anything to work up front.

At the same time, the Radio Stoke commentators were very much of the opinion that the Albion players wanted it more and were fighting for it, which is pretty encouraging for your manager given the start he's had.

Not sure if there's been a few 'clear the air' conversations going on, but if so, they seem to have worked. We're going to need similar at our place pretty soon, the way we're going.
